About the Journey
The Journey is a spirited musical based on the story of three young people living in the Regent Park neighbourhood, presented at Daniels Spectrum in Regent Park. The Journey premiered in 2013.
Using a powerful combination of spoken word, dramatic scenes, music and dance, The Journey highlights moments in Regent Park’s nearly 70-year history through the eyes of local residents. Not only is the show inspired by the real-life stories of Regent Park residents, it has also featured award-winning Regent Park spoken word artists Trevlyn Kay and Britta B, with Regent Park School of Music graduate Stacy Darko and Dixon Hall Music School alumnus Thompson Egbo-Egbo.
The Journey will tug at your heartstrings and leave you wanting more.
